Hordeum vulgare var. nudum, commonly known as naked barley, is a form of domesticated barley with an easier-to-remove hull. It is one of the oldest and most common cereals found from Neolithic Fennoscandia. The species is grown extensively across the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and is the staple food of the local Tibetan people.
